Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your Alimio account and the data associated with it. It applies to the Alimio mobile app published by Alimio LTD. You can delete your account directly in the app, or request deletion through our contact form if you no longer have the app installed.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, your synced data cannot be recovered.

Option 1: Delete in the app (immediate)

The fastest way to delete your account is from inside Alimio:

  1. 1Open Alimio and go to Settings.
  2. 2Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  3. 3Confirm when prompted.

Your account and all associated data are deleted straight away, on our servers and on your device.

Option 2: Request deletion (no app needed)

If you have uninstalled Alimio or cannot access the app, you can ask us to delete your account for you:

  • Send a request through our contact form.
  • Let us know you want to delete your account, and include the email address you signed in with so we can verify your identity.
  • We will delete your account and associated data within 30 days, usually much sooner.

We only use the details you provide to verify your identity and process your request.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

Account and sign-in

Your Alimio account, login identity, and email address held for authentication

Profile

Your display name and profile details

Food inventory

All food items, expiry dates, and storage locations

Recipes and shopping list

Saved recipes and your shopping list items

History and settings

Your waste and deletion history, app preferences, and settings

Household data

Your household membership, and any household you solely own

Device copy

The local copy of your data stored on your device

What is kept, and for how long

A small amount of data may be kept after account deletion, either because it is held separately with your consent or because a third party retains it for legal and operational reasons:

Newsletter subscription

If you opted in to our newsletter, your email address is stored separately and is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. You can unsubscribe at any time, or request erasure through our contact form.

Purchase records

Subscription and purchase records held by our payment partners (RevenueCat, Apple, and Google) are retained under their own policies for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes. We cannot delete records held by the app stores.

Push notification records

Basic device records held by our push notification provider (OneSignal) are retained under their policy. Deleting your account removes the link between those records and your identity.

Anonymous analytics

Aggregated, anonymous usage statistics are not linked to your account or identity and cannot be traced back to you. This data is aggregated and automatically deleted on a rolling 90-day basis.

Photos and AI requests

Photos you scan and the ingredient lists you send for recipe generation are processed transiently and are not stored on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
